School and Its Pros and Cons🙋

Hi everybody and welcome back to my blog!

Today I'm going to talk about how does my school work. Is it as bad as it seems? Keep reading to discover it!💁

My high school is called Frederic Mompou and it's located in Sant Vicenç dels Horts, which is a small town near Barcelona. It is not a huge school but it's not small either. It's known as the oldest school of the whole town. The school is surrounded by nature and it is a bit far away from civilisation. That causes problems at the time of arriving because there are not too many options of transport. Also, if your parents can't take you to school by car, you will have to wake up earlier to take the bus. I wake up every day at 6 a.m! That's insane! However, the good part of the location is that is a quite place, without much polluted air and noise from city's traffic.

My school!

In my opinion, our timetable is great. We start school at 8 am and we have three lessons in a row. Then, we have half an hour of spare time. We can talk with our friends, go to the library and study, walk, play... Honestly, it is the funniest time of the whole day. After that, there are three more hours of class but next... you are finally free! School finishes at half past two, therefore it lasts six hours and a half, which I think it's not a short time but it's not super long either.

Afterwards, there's the subjects topic. A lot of people don't even like one of the twelve subjects that we have at school, but I'm not one of those. I find interesting a lot of them, such as German, Physics and Chemistry, English, Biology... Of course, there are also some subjects that I don't like, such as Catalan, Mathematics or Music. If I had to choose a favourite one, I will say German or Biology. I love German lessons because I'm with most of my friends and I love learning new words, expressions and culture from there in general. In Biology lessons I have so much fun because my teacher is always giving fascinating facts about our bodies and sometimes about the world too, and I find it so cool because I love to learn new things!

Now, let's talk about rules. I know, rules isn't a cool topic to talk about, but we can't avoid them since they are everywhere. On the one hand, I understand some rules because they are important to keep a good environment at class and at school in general. For example, some of the typical ones are: raising your hand to talk, being quite when someone is talking and listen to them... But in the other hand, there are some rules that I don't really understand, such as not being allowed to leave our class when the lesson is over and the teacher leaves it too. Do some teachers think that we can sit for three hours in a row and don't even stand up from our sits? I mean, there are some people that starts creating chaos, but there are some people like me that only want to go to the bathroom or go ask for something to another class... Anyways, I also put myself in the teacher's shoes and understand their situation, but they shouldn't be so mad sometimes when someone arrive a bit late to their class. Just my opinion!😅
